Ice Hockey

This is a little pastel I did a few years ago of my nephew playing ice hockey. He was about 8 at the time, and he was playing at the Cooler here in Atlanta. I was so amazed to see all of those young kids skating so well on the ice. This is an 8 x 10 on Canson.

Sullivan's Island

I finished the pastel painting of Sullivan's Island this morning. I bumped up the color a little and now I will look at it in my studio for a few days to see if I want to change anything. Enjoy.

Sullivan's Island - a start

Last Spring I visited Sullivan's Island after my Edisto Island trip. I took several photos of the beach, sand dunes, and houses on the beach. It was such a peaceful place. Since it snowed here in Atlanta last night, I thought I would paint a place that brings back memories of warmth! If you look to the left of the painting, you can see my Jack Russell, Daisy, in the background. She is much more interested in looking out the window than watching me. I'll post again when I finish. Enjoy.

Finished Raggedy Ann

Here is my finished Raggedy Ann. It's been a while since I did any sewing and it was fun to get back into it. My pastel class (with Marsha Savage) started back yesterday so it's back to painting!!! I received the new Ann Templeton book and a set of Terry Ludwig's Southwest pastels for Christmas and I am very excited to start painting.
